The American College of Veterinary Dermatology (collectively referred to as "ACVD," "we," "us" or "our" in this privacy notice) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy notice will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website (regardless of where you visit it from) and tell you about your privacy.

This privacy notice aims to give you information on how we collect and process your personal data through your use of this website, including any data you may provide through this website when you register an account or profile or purchase a product or service from us.

It is important that you read this privacy notice together with any other privacy notice or fair processing notice we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data.

We are a membership site and we do not give cookies to the public. A “cookie” is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. The only way to get a cookie on the ACVD web site is to be an actual resident or Diplomate of the ACVD that has logged into the site. If you do not login, we do not put a cookie on your computer. Additionally, we do not track with cookies. Your cookie is deleted after a specified period of time or when you select "Log Out" at the top of the page.

Logged in users of our library will be redirected away from the ACVD website. The ACVD is not responsible for any content, security or tracking of users on the destination web site. This library page is for convenience of our users and is to be used as an information referral source only.

When making a payment or purchase on this site, we will not use cookies, but we do record transaction information including your name, address, phone number and product(s) you purchased. A receipt will be emailed to you with all the collected data for the transaction. All credit card processing is performed by 2Checkout, which is independent of the ACVD.

If you are a resident or Diplomate of the ACVD, we keep membership data, including email addresses for correspondence. When you login, we give you a cookie. If you want to see what data we have on you or what the cookie does, email the ACVD Executive Secretary (please use the Contact form link here). If you do not want a cookie, then do not login. If you do not want us to have your web data, please notify us that you are forgoing your website privileges. Keep in mind, you will no longer receive announcements regarding ACVD membership fee reminders, meetings, policies, and voting matters.
