Date Posted: 4/20/2021 Location: COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO
Position: Veterinary Dermatologist
Job Description:

Animal Allergy and Dermatology of Colorado is looking for a third Board-Certified Veterinary Dermatologist to join our team!

Need less itch and more wag in your life? We certainly do. That’s why we are looking for a third board certified veterinary dermatologist to join our growing team at Animal Allergy and Dermatology of Colorado (AADC). We’re a privately owned practice with a friendly, close-knit team, and well-established pet-loving client base. We have the pleasure of calling beautiful Colorado Springs with its stunning mountains our “home” while serving the community as the only board certified veterinary dermatology practice in Southern Colorado.

We Are Trusted
AADC was established as a private specialty veterinary dermatology practice in 2010 by Dr. Jackie Campbell. We have spent the last decade building relationships with an incredible network of general practice and specialty veterinarians throughout Colorado to ensure the best possible care for our patients. In 2020, we welcomed Dr. Jennifer Petersen as our second board-certified dermatologist to join our team and are looking forward to continued growth with a third associate!

We adore our patients and clients – and they love us too! We are deeply committed to our pet-loving community and have grown a large and thriving client base. We truly enjoy what we do, and believe this makes the biggest difference in how we run our practice.

We Care For Each Other
Our team is small, close-knit, and highly skilled. We have five veterinary technicians, four of which are certified. We also have a fantastic receptionist, two assistants, and a practice manager who work to ensure our practice is running efficiently and our team is taken care of. We thrive on our team’s core values – working together as passionate team players that keep respect at the forefront and building relationships through open and honest communication. We believe that caring for each other as a team is equally as important as caring for our clients and patients.

Our Practice and Veterinary Campus
Our office has evolved as we continue to grow. Our newest location has 4 examination rooms, a surgical suite, Storz otoscope, Aesculight surgical laser, cryosurgery equipment, pharmacy, and designated office space for each of our doctors. Our practice is technology-friendly. We run a paperless office utilizing mac-based software and take advantage of portability with laptops and ipads.

We’re conveniently located on a trusted veterinary campus called the Veterinary Specialty Center (VSC) which includes a range of boarded specialists and emergency veterinarians with whom we share a working relationship and clients, while still maintaining our own private office space.

Perhaps the best part about our office is that we are located in the heart of Colorado Springs – a highly desirable community that boasts a breathtaking mountain range, endless hiking trails, a wonderful moderate climate for all outdoor activities, and stunning views of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods.

All That’s Missing is YOU!
We are looking for a Board-Certified or residency trained Veterinary Dermatologist (DACVD). Our ideal candidate is a kind and compassionate individual who values a collaborative approach, adores their clients, patients, and team, and strives to educate the pet-loving community about pet allergies and skin issues. We are looking for a positive, adaptable, and open communicator, who is self-driven, demonstrates enthusiasm for growing a business, and embraces new ideas.

Along with a competitive base salary we are committed to a healthy work/life balance, and offer additional benefits including a MacBook work computer, continuing education, health benefits, and paid time off.

Contact Information:

Please submit resume and cover letter for strictly confidential consideration to Dr. Jackie Campbell at Dr.Campbell@animalallergycolorado.com

Position: Veterinary Dermatologist
Job Description:

VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists, a 24-hour specialty practice and pillar of the Cleveland veterinary referral community for over 25 years, is currently looking for a board certified or board eligible Dermatologist to join our growing practice.

Originally founded as a single doctor practice, Great Lakes has grown into a small collection of specialists. It ultimately became a 24-hour ER hospital and moved to a custom-designed, 15,000 square foot facility and solidified its reputation as one of the premier specialty hospitals in Ohio.

The 2013 move into the massive, state-of-the-art facility enabled our specialists to work in a beautiful surrounding while simultaneously enabling them to offer additional services. The building has 11 exam rooms, 3 surgical suites, an 8 slice CT, MRI access next door, multiple O2 cages, incubators & ultrasounds, a lap tower and dedicated rooms for both chemotherapy and radiation iodine treatments. It would be tough to find a facility as well equipped and in as inviting a space as this one.

A beautiful building with excellent equipment means nothing without the accompanying staff. The hospital currently employs 15 doctors which includes 6 ER Doctors, 3 Interns and Specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology and Critical Care. Along with our doctors the hospital also has a very established and experienced support staff including 25 technicians of which 18 are licensed. And although every hospital has some drama, this really is a drama-free zone with a very collegial and familial feel. Yes, this is a hospital but everyone considers and treats it as home!

VCA Great Lakes is located in a beautiful suburb of Cleveland with all the perks and benefits of living close to everything. Cleveland is known for its trendy restaurants, internationally recognized arts community, for its cosmopolitan attitudes, its multiple professional sports team and is becoming increasingly well known for its growing outdoor scene. Over the last few years the city has created the MetroParks Network, an extensive system of nature preserves encompassing over 21,000 acres including over 70 miles of what is known as the Emerald Necklace Trails. It provides more hiking, mountain biking, sledding, fishing, nature trails and centers and skiing than one can do in a lifetime. The city is very affordable, enabling purchases of large homes and a very high quality of life. It also boasts two renowned health care systems, Cleveland Clinic and Metro Health. Farmers markets abound, and beautiful neighborhoods like Shaker Heights, with their historical homes, are accessible and contribute to the city’s established and familial neighborhood feel.

Date Posted: 1/7/2021 Location: WESTBURY, NEW YORK
Position: Veterinary Dermatologist
Job Description:

Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Westbury, one of the most established and recognizable specialty practices on Long Island, New York—and definitely the largest in Nassau County—is seeking a board certified or board-eligible Dermatologist to join our 24-hour emergency/critical care and specialty referral practice.

VREC was originally established in 2003 in the current 12,000 sq. foot facility. During the past 11 years it has fostered an excellent relationship with referring veterinarians and is well known as the multi-service, 24-hour specialty practice of choice. At the time of its founding it was one of the largest and most forward-thinking specialty hospitals in the country. To maintain that reputation as a leader in the field, the facility will shortly be going through a massive renovation of 75% of the existing structure, cementing its reputation in the community as a state-of-the-art specialty practice.

Although we are proud of our equipment (4 slice CT, full endoscopic capabilities, minimally invasive surgical equipment, the only linear accelerator on Long Island, ultrasound, DR, RT, IH lab a hyperbaric chamber, underwater treadmill and tracheal & urethral stenting capabilities), we are even more proud of our cohesive and collaborative staff. We currently have 19 LVTs on staff with an additional 3 non-licensed Technicians. We believe in our staff and support their ongoing growth. As of today we have one Neurology-certified Tech, a Critical Care Technician about to sit for the exam, and a third about to start certification as a Surgical Technician.

At VCA we believe that postgraduate training is no longer limited to university settings and we love being able to offer progressive and cutting edge internship programs. VREC currently has an Internship class of four and we would expect any Specialist joining the team to participate in their education and hopefully also become a mentor for future growth and development.

An interest in helping the Interns is only one of our expectations. We want someone who will be part of the family. Many of the staff have been part of VREC a long time and consider this their second home. We would expect anyone joining the team to feel the same way in time and treat VREC as such. We would hope any new Specialist will nurture the compassionate care of patients, clients, and referring DVMs alike. We want a drama-free personality. We want someone who is fun, who enjoys to laugh and who is an all-round happy personality.

As far as the geography is concerned, Long Island is a great place to live and work. It has all the charms of a rural community, the support network of the suburbs, and the perks of being a short drive to Manhattan. Close to the beaches, close to nature, and close to the city. In addition to major and minor sporting events, just about any outdoor activity can be had here, from hiking/biking/horseback riding to apple/pumpkin picking!

An established, multi-discipline, collaborative work environment in a soon-to-be-renovated, state-of-the-art facility. What else can one ask for? Oh yes—a great overnight ER service, a large and experienced team, a heavy case load, and support for your special interests. VREC Westbury has it all!

As a member of the VCA family, eligible full-time employees will be rewarded with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Health & Wellness
• An innovative, new department focused on associate health and wellbeing, with programs such as company sponsored Headspace app subscriptions, Vault financial wellness tools, and access to additional mental health resources.
