Practice at Your Best

Cornell University Veterinary Specialists (CUVS) is looking for a dermatologist to join our amazing team.

CUVS is a unique hospital – a private practice and an independent subsidiary of Cornell University, bringing the best of both worlds and also something quite different. We are specialist-run. We pride ourselves on our phenomenally and uniquely positive culture.

We fully understand and appreciate the unique needs of each specialty, and work with the specialists to create the optimal service. We have all the tools, technology and staff for optimum patient care and clinician efficiency, and an exemplary team dynamic. Our services are further supported by strong interdepartmental collaborations, including a 365-day/year criticalist-staffed ECC department.

We have a large and diverse caseload, and a clientele that are willing and able to pursue the best medical options for their pets. Our sophisticated infrastructure, technology and training facilitate optimal functioning for the busy specialist, as well as remarkable client satisfaction.

While our hospital operates as a private practice, our specialists have many opportunities for collaboration with Cornell, as well as teaching and clinical trials internally and with the College or other institutions.

Located in Harbor Point, Stamford, on Connecticut’s “Gold Coast”, the area offers beauty, a rich cultural experience, and myriad water and other outdoor activities.  We are 45 minutes from Manhattan and minutes from commuter trains and the Interstate, offering easy access to other parts of New England and the Northeast.

Position: Veterinary Dermatologist
Job Description:

Your dream job is here! Apex Veterinary Specialists is currently seeking veterinary dermatologists to join us; the positions can be either full- or part-time. Our hospital specializes in out-patient services and is located in the affluent south Denver metro area with great schools. We recently moved into a brand-new facility. State-of-the-art equipment includes video otoscopy (Storz—Telepak + HD and C-MAC HD), Storz VetPump, CT scan, X-ray, VetScalpel Laser, Phovia, cryotherapy, microscopes, ultrasound and more.

We are committed to providing the highest quality and compassionate care to our patients and clients. Our dermatology-dedicated technicians have many years of dermatology experience. Patients under general anesthesia or sedation always have the availability of a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist. There is also opportunity for ownership.

And no non-compete!

Colorado is a beautiful state. The Denver-metro area has more sunny days per year than places like San Diego or Miami Beach. It also has the largest city park system in the USA. On multiple occasions, Denver has been ranked one of the top 10 healthiest cities and pet-friendly cities in the US. The Denver metro area has art, theater, museums, microbreweries, nightlife, shopping and more! Denver is in a semi-arid climate, with typically less than 16 inches of precipitation per year. Of course, the nearby mountains and ski resorts get lots of snow per year—hence Colorado’s world-renown skiing and snowboarding. Colorado also has numerous parks with trails to hike, bike, climb, horseback ride, etc. And many rivers, lakes and reservoirs for water sports. Camping and glamping -yes!

Colorado loves its professional sports teams— go Nuggets (yes, we won the NBA championship last season!), go Broncos, go Rockies, go Avalanche, go Rapids, go Mammoth, go Raptors! We got to touch the Stanley Cup when an Avalanche player brought it by the hospital as a thank you for caring for his pets.

Come join our wonderful group!

Date Posted: 1/4/2024 Location: PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA
Position: Veterinary Dermatologist
Job Description:

Approachable, forward-thinking, Board - Certified Dermatologist wanted.

ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital (Palm Beach County) has specialists in critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, anesthesiology, surgery, neurology, ophthalmology, and oncology, all engaging with clients, sharing cases, prepping staff, and getting things done.

Now we’re looking for a board-certified Dermatologist to join us and help build a leading veterinary team.

Naturally, we need someone who will feel at home with us, and if the below points appeal to you, please give us a call to find out how a move to our hospital could be one of the best calls you ever make.

Changemakers are welcomed!

The vet industry is shifting – there’s no doubt about it. Accelerating advances in technology, the business impacts of Covid, small practices tangling with large veterinary corporations, new business models, and client expectations are all changing the game.

This is why everyone at ACCESS Palm Beach County – which is owned by hands-on, onsite veterinarians – works hard to support forward thinking doctors who provide quality medicine through adaptation, innovation, and drive. If you are one of these go-getters and need a team to get behind you, we’re ready.

Our name matters!

ACCESS – which is an acronym for Advanced Critical Care, Emergency & Specialty Services – was founded by Rich Mills, DVM, DACVECC (one of the nicest guys in the industry). Rich built a well-regarded specialty and emergency group in Southern California with a simple mission: Team up with doctors and staff who are passionate about providing the best possible medicine, who understand the value of collaborating with peers and staff, who frown on bureaucracy, and who love working with people. Sounds like you? Hop aboard.

Your insight and suggestions are valued.

In April, we opened our purpose-built 20,000 sq. ft. hospital in Palm Beach County, FL which must be seen to be believed. What’s better than having corridors wide enough for two gurneys to pass each other with space in between? We also have state-of-the-art equipment and the facilities one would expect from a multi-million dollar specialty animal hospital,* and are open to expanding in different directions. As such, we believe that few people are more qualified to make change than our doctors, and we always encourage those who are willing to challenge the status quo and lead the charge.

* Among other things, our hospital includes an in-house laboratory, multi-parameter monitoring devices, two digital radiology suites, a full complement of ultrasound equipment, an endoscopy suite, fluoroscopy with a neurovascular package, and top of the line CT and MRI machines. One of our five large operating rooms is equipped for minimally invasive surgery, and another for fluoroscopy and interventional radiology. Our emergency room and ICU are in separate areas with the ER having its own operating room for minor procedures. We also have separate canine and feline intermediate care wards as well as an I131 ward.

Not familiar with our location? Don’t worry…

The benefits of working with us in Palm Beach County, Florida, are numerous and best shared in person. Here are just a few:

  • We have no state income tax. Yes, you read that correctly. Zip. Nada. Zero state income tax!
  • We have affordable large inland properties and waterfront housing with a relatively lower cost of living than many other coastal states.
  • More than 200 days of sunshine means more time on the endless beaches, scuba diving, boating, fishing, or enjoying many other outdoor activities.
  • Wonderfully diverse, Florida offers the kind of melting pot that adds a unique flavor to anyone’s lifestyle.
  • There are so many other cool things we can’t list them all, but a few minutes on Google will have you wanting to come visit us.

A full package…

We offer highly competitive compensation, as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes generous PTO, a 401K with matching, and excellent health benefits. If relocation is required, we offer financial assistance to qualified candidates, including a designated relocation specialist who can introduce you to new neighborhoods, community services, and all the things needed to help make you feel at home in no time at all.

Act today!

To find out more about your role, our hospital and about the people with whom you’ll be working, please contact Ken Spokane.

As always, total confidentiality is assured.

Position: Veterinary Dermatologist
Job Description:

Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists, a 24-hour specialty practice and pillar of the Cleveland veterinary referral community for over 25 years, is currently looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Dermatologist to join our growing practice.

Originally founded as a single-doctor practice, Great Lakes has grown into a small collection of specialists. It ultimately became a 24-hour ER hospital and moved to a custom-designed, 15,000 square-foot facility and solidified its reputation as one of the premier specialty hospitals in Ohio.

The 2013 move into the massive, state-of-the-art facility enabled our specialists to work in beautiful surroundings while simultaneously enabling them to offer additional services. The building has 11 exam rooms, 3 surgical suites, an 8-slice CT, MRI access next door, multiple O2 cages, incubators & ultrasounds, a lap tower, and dedicated rooms for both chemotherapy and radiation iodine treatments. It would be tough to find a facility as well equipped and in as inviting a space as this one.

A beautiful building with excellent equipment means nothing without the accompanying staff. The hospital currently employs 15 doctors which include 6 ER Doctors, 3 Interns, and specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Critical Care. Along with our doctors, the hospital also has a very established and experienced support staff including 25 technicians of which 18 are licensed. And although every hospital has some drama, this really is a drama-free zone with a very collegial and familial feel. Yes, this is a hospital but everyone considers and treats it as home!

VREC was originally established in 2003 in the current 12,000 sq. foot facility. During the past 11 years it has fostered an excellent relationship with referring veterinarians and is well known as the multi-service, 24-hour specialty practice of choice. Date Posted: 1/31/2023 Location: SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Position: Veterinary Dermatologist
Job Description:

The Dermatology Center for Animals (DCA) is seeking a board-certified dermatologist; board-eligible dermatologists completing their training are also welcome to apply. Want to work part-time? No problem.

Up to $25,000 Sign-on Bonus available.

Schedule: make your own schedule! Only want to work 3 days a week? That's ok. Want to work 4 or 5 days? That's ok too! You choose.
Located in the heart of Seattle’s South Lake Union, DCA was founded in December 2014 and is privately owned. We are supported by numerous, nearby veterinary clinics that have strong knowledge of dermatology and who value early patient referrals. We also receive numerous, regular, referrals from within the state. DCA has built a very strong reputation in Washington State for referrals regarding the work up and treatment of aural masses and otitis media/interna. We currently average ~6-8 ear mass removal and/or myringotomy procedures per month. And while we are not the pioneer of CO2 laser procedures, we receive numerous referrals for these types of procedures. We are supported by highly skilled nurses that have been employed at DCA for 5 years.

Clinic Highlights:
• In house, 8 slice, CT scanner; scans are performed with Dexdomitor/butorphanol sedation; images are sent to third party radiology, and are routinely performed as outpatients within 1hr.
• Each exam room is equipped with Storz video-otoscopy; this allows the dermatologist the most advanced ability to assess ear canal health and provides owners an impactful image that generally leads to higher rates of compliance for diagnostics and treatments.
• Brand new Aesculight 40 watt CO2 laser
• Full anesthesia /wet table, with Storz video-otoscopy tower with Storz Aida HD video-recording, and Storz VetPump.
• Nikon Eclipse Ci (clinical pathologist grade) microscope connected to a live monitor for multiple user viewing.
• 3,500 SF standalone building
• 4, 10’x 10’, exam rooms.
• Voice dictation recording software to assist with medical records.

DCA would love to find a likeminded, dedicated, and compassionate dermatologist, committed to the health of our practice, our referral base and their clients and pets. Although not required, an ideal candidate would also be motivated to create a residency and mentoring program. The candidate, if not experienced in areas of CT, aural mass removal procedures, myringotomy procedures, or with use of CO2 laser procedures, would be open to being mentored or sharing/deferring those cases.

DCA is happy to offer:
• Up to $25,000 Sign-on Bonus!
• Competitive compensation
• Relocation Assistance Package
• Health benefits (vision/dental/life insurance)
• Paid parental leave
• Annual CE Stipend
• Simple IRA w/ employer match
• Annual Paid Time Off
• Possible partnership opportunities for the right, and motivated, candidate!
